Tetra Pak® Price List
Tetra Pak® price overview
Tetra Pak® price list: packaging and processing solutions for companies
If you are looking for a Tetra Pak® price list, you will quickly notice that there is no single published list for machines. Prices depend on the model, the capacity, the condition and the work needed to get the equipment running in your plant. This page explains what drives the price, where you can see prices straight away, and how to get a quote for your project.
Where you can see Tetra Pak® prices right away
For spare parts, our Tetra Pak® spare parts catalogue is the closest thing to a price list: many parts show their price directly, and you can collect several parts in one inquiry. Larger orders benefit from our volume discounts.
For machines and complete lines, current deals are listed under exclusive offers. Everything else is quoted individually, because two machines of the same model can differ a lot in hours, condition and configuration.
Tetra Pak® prices and cost factors
The cost of Tetra Pak® equipment depends mainly on:
- Machine type and model, for example a homogenizer, a separator or a complete UHT unit
- Capacity, measured in litres or packages per hour
- Condition: new, used or refurbished
- Configuration, such as automation level, cleaning-in-place and integration into your existing line
- Services around the machine: dismantling, transport, installation and commissioning
Instead of a fixed list, you choose a suitable machine and send us a non-binding inquiry. We check availability and come back with the best option for your machine type and production requirements. If you are pricing a filling line specifically, read our guide to the Tetra Pak® filling machine price.
Tetra Pak®: aseptic packaging for consistent product quality
Part of what you pay for is aseptic packaging technology. The multi-layer carton keeps products such as milk, soups and fruit juices safe for months without refrigeration, protected from light, oxygen and contamination. That is why aseptic packaging has become the standard for shelf-stable liquid food worldwide, and why the processing equipment behind it, from UHT treatment to aseptic tanks, is built to such high standards.

What are the drawbacks of Tetra Pak®?
Tetra Pak® packaging has many advantages, but there are two drawbacks to weigh.
The multi-layer structure combines paperboard, aluminium and plastic. It protects the product and extends shelf life, but it makes recycling more complex than with single-material packaging, and the layers often need specialized facilities to separate them.
The other is the initial investment in processing and filling equipment. For companies moving into aseptic packaging for the first time, machines and lines are a significant investment. Used and refurbished equipment is one way to lower it, see our guide to Tetra Pak® machines for sale.
Many manufacturers still choose Tetra Pak® for its strong product protection, long shelf life and efficient large-scale production.
What are the 6 layers of Tetra Pak®?
A classic Tetra Pak® beverage carton has six layers of polyethylene, paperboard and aluminium that protect the contents from moisture, light and oxygen. From the outside in:
- Polyethylene (outer layer): protects against moisture from outside.
- Paperboard: gives the carton its stability and shape.
- Polyethylene (lamination layer): bonds the paperboard to the aluminium foil.
- Aluminium foil: blocks oxygen and light and keeps the product fresh.
- Polyethylene (adhesive layer): bonds the aluminium to the innermost layer.
- Polyethylene (innermost layer): seals the product in and keeps it away from the aluminium.
On average, a carton is about 70–75% paperboard, 20–25% polyethylene and 4–5% aluminium.
Which is better, Tetra Pak® or plastic bottles?
It depends on the product, how it is distributed and the company’s sustainability goals.
Tetra Pak® cartons suit milk, plant-based drinks and fruit juices, because aseptic packaging keeps them for long periods without refrigeration. Cartons are mostly made from renewable material and are light to transport.
Plastic bottles suit products that need to be resealable or visible, such as water or soft drinks. In some markets they are also easier to recycle, as they are usually made from a single material.
What exactly is Tetra Pak® packaging?
Tetra Pak® packaging is an aseptic packaging system that keeps food and beverages safe for long periods. Layers of paperboard, plastic and aluminium form a barrier against light, oxygen and bacteria, extending the shelf life of milk, soups, sauces and juices.
The cartons are filled by processing and filling machines that sterilize both the packaging material and the product before sealing, so the product needs no refrigeration in storage or transport.
