Tetra Pak® Continuous Freezer S80 A1
The Tetra Pak® Continuous Freezer S80 A1 is a pilot / laboratory scale continuous ice cream freezer designed for the continuous freezing and aeration of ice cream mix and similar fluid products. Built in 2019 and unused, the machine is particularly suitable for pilot plants, laboratories, product development, test production and small-scale industrial applications.

Automated control of overrun, capacity, viscosity and ice cream temperature
The unit is a self-contained continuous freezer with integrated refrigeration, Siemens S7 control system and variable-speed product pumps. The mix is metered by a gear pump, air is whipped in by the dasher inside the freezing cylinder, scraper blades remove the frozen product from the cylinder wall and a second gear pump discharges the product at stable cylinder pressure. This makes it ideal for developing and reproducing consistent product recipes.
Applications: Continuous freezing and aeration of ice cream mix and similar fluid products – suitable for recipe development, R&D and small production batches.
Capacity: 10–100 l/h typical, depending on the mix recipe; nominal output 100 l/h at 100% overrun.
Control: Built-in Siemens S7 PLC with graphic display control panel. Operating modes: automatic production, manual production, hold, end of production and CIP / flush.

Scope of delivery: Continuous freezer on stainless steel frame with Hoyer positive CIP mix and cream pumps, variable main drive, built-in refrigeration unit (hermetic scroll compressor, water-cooled condenser, refrigerant R449A), approx. 10 l mix balance tank incl. flexible hose and connection flanges, and the original operation manual. Not included: external CIP plant, installation, utility connections, ice cream mix supply and downstream filling / extrusion equipment.
